When Dr. Kyra Larkin was a young child, she asked her parents for a horse. Given their modest living conditions and the family’s limited budget, her parents gently explained that owning a horse was expensive, particularly when it came to veterinary care. Not to be deterred, the young Dr. Kyra decided right then and there that she would simply become a vet so she could finally get the horse she wanted. And the rest, as they say, is history!
Dr. Khomayezi was born and raised in a small town in Kurdistan called Mahabad, surrounded by beautiful Zagros Mountains. From a very young age, he’d spend weekends and summers at his grandfather’s farm, surrounded by beef cattle, two well-trained German shepherds, a few cats, and some chickens. Mesmerized by the veterinarian examining and treating the animals, Dr. Khomayezi knew exactly what he wanted to become when he grew up. Today, he is living his childhood dream of being a veterinarian, protecting animals’ health and wellbeing, and alleviating their pain and discomfort.
