General Information
Complete Care Hopsital for pets operates not only a stationary veterinary hospital in Lake Echo, NS but a near full-service mobile veterinary clinic. It is the only mobile unit of its kind in Nova Scotia.
The mobile unit is a specialty vehicle that was originally constructed by La Boit Inc., a family owned and operated company since 1981. La Boit Inc. builds mobile units not only for the veterinary industry but for others as well including medical, dental and blood industries. Each unit is hand built from the chassis up. Compassionate, Comprehensive and Convenient
The purpose of the mobile clinic is to allow smaller communities to receive veterinary care at a relatively short driving distance where they would otherwise not have access. The mobile clinic travels along Highway #7 from Lake Echo to Sheet Harbour on a weekly schedule with major stops in Lake Charlotte and Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia. Basic surgical procedures, including spays, neuters and lump removals, are available to residents of Sheet Harbour due to the long travel distance to obtain veterinary care. Patients that require care beyond the capability of the mobile veterinary clinic can be brought to the main Complete Care facility in Lake Echo to receive more extensive care and can be transported back to the client when the vehicle returns to their community. The mobile veterinary clinic is also available to do house calls by appointment.
Mobile or house call appointments can be booked by contacting our friendly staff at our stationary veterinary hospital at (902) 281-CARE (2273) or via email at
